Venue for the scientific programme

The course will take place on the beautiful island of Crete, at Fodele Beach Resort (https://www.fodelebeach.gr/), which has a unique seafront location, just 25 minute drive from the Heraklion International Airport (HER), "Nikos Kazantzakis". The location offers an intimate and inspiring retreat by the beach. Located 25km west of Heraklion, overlooking the sea into cliffside, Fodele Beach & Water Park Resort offecrs a unique landscape, beautiful gardens, and excellent accommodation, that will greatly enhance scientific discussions and interactions in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Heraklion International Airport is very well connected to Athens Airport and to many European cities and Israel with frequest/daily direct flights. The venue offeres excellent conference facilities, including a congress hall and additional spaces to host the poster sessions by the beach. 

Our venue, Fodele Beach Resort, has the Green key certification, they use waste sorting and local recycling. They use heat pumps for hot water. They have vegetarian options in all of their restaurants daily, they serve locally sourced food, they have water fountains that the guests can use at all the F&B outlets of the hotel. They do not use disposable cutlery. Our conference secretariat after the end of the conference, recycles all printed materials such as banners, posters, badge cases, name badges, printed short programmes etc.

Accommodation

Event participants will stay at  Fodele Beach Resort. 

Accommodation (4 nights) will be in single or shared double occupancy rooms according to your registration order and fee payment, at the venue Hotel in all-inclusive basis, including the overnight stay tax,  with check-in May 4^th and check-out May 8^th 2026. 

Participants that will register for a Shared Double room, if they do not indicate a specific roommate by email to info@tumourmicroenvironment2026.febsevents.org , will be matched with another participant by the conference organizers.

In case your dates of check-in and check-out are different than the ones mentioned above, either due to flight availability or some vacation time, extension of stay before/after the dates of the conference, is possible with the special conference rate provided you send your request by email.

Accompanying members (partners and/or family members) are most welcome to join us in Crete, but you will need to reserve and pay the supplement for the amendment of reservation and additional rooms, if they are required.  For extension of stay before/after the dates of the conference, accompanying persons etc. please contact  Ms Eleni Troulaki info@tumourmicroenvironment2026.febsevents.org .

Complimentary Grouped transfers from Heraklion International Airport [HER] to Fodele Beach Resort and back, at fixed dates/times will be arranged by the Course Organizers.  See details in the “How to reach the event" section.
